Smocked Gouda Block (Flanders)


Flanders Food Productions offers an extensive range of hard and semi-hard cheeses. The main focus is on Mozzarella, Cheddar, Gouda, Edam, Emmental, Maasdam and customer-specific recipes.

These vegetable cheese alternatives can be added to certain blends as required by the customer.

The entire range of grated cheese is available both pure and blended.

We have available a range of processed cheeses with and without emulsifying salts. These products can be supplied with the specific functionality and flavor required for certain products such as cordon bleu, lasagne, potato gratin, gnocchi, etc.


Smoked Gouda goes well with a variety of breakfast dishes, especially ones with eggs. Throw some shredded Gouda on scrambled eggs to give the dish a cheesy twist. Fold smoked Goudasmoked sausage, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, and onions into an omelet for a southwest breakfast with a smoky taste.

  1. Smoked Gouda is a bit nuttier tasting than the regular Gouda. Containing 45% butterfat, it’s buttery, creamy, and smooth with sweet and salty notes. As with all cheeses, be sure to enjoy it at room temperature and it will literally melt on your tongue.
    Common uses: Commonly used as a standalone table cheese. Look and feel: Smoked Gouda is traditionally smoked in brick ovens over flaming hickory chip embers. This hard cheese has an edible, brown rind and a creamy, yellow interior.
