Description
Cheese (Parmesan) Wheel
the origin of Grana Padano dates back to the Cistercian monks of the Chiaravalle Abbey. From the polders of northern Italy, the cheese is produced with milk from free-range cows that are let to graze on fresh forage and silage.
Country of origin: Italy (specifically the Po River Valley in Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy)
Did you know: The texture is hard, with barely visible small holes and a circular, a finely grained structure that breaks into slivers when cut with a knife.
Common uses:
1: Cows are milked twice a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening; typically, morning milk is lower in fat content.
2: cheese sandwich.
